Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi left countless Americans scratching their heads Thursday; saying the federal government should “repair” border roads to help “facilitate” more immigration and trade.
Pelosi was speaking with reporters during her weekly press conference when she made the surprising statement; claiming any future budget should seek to “repair the roads to facilitate immigration and trade in those regions.”
“We are proposing to build infrastructure at the ports of entry. Strengthen the ports of entry. Spend the money, hundreds of millions of dollars,” said Pelosi.
“Repair the roads to facilitate immigration and trade in those regions. The positive, technological wall that could be built, that’s what we should be doing,” she added.
