Speaker Pelosi spoke with reporters at the US Capitol after officially signing her Articles of Impeachment Thursday; claiming Republican lawmakers are simply “afraid of the truth.”

“They’re afraid of the truth. The American people have seen the allegations, and we need to see more evidence. So, this is just another avoiding of the facts and the truth on their part. They don’t want to see documents, they don’t want eyewitnesses,” said Pelosi.

“We saw a strong case for the impeachment of the President… Any further evidence should not be avoided,” she added.
