Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi demanded an official apology from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on social media Tuesday night; saying his use of the term “Chinese Coronavirus” is “bigoted” against Asians and Asian Americans.

Examples include: Spanish Flu, West Nile Virus, Hong Kong Flu of 1968, German Measles, Asian Flu of 1956, Ebola Fever, Rocky Mountain Fever, and others.
