North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent a clear message to world leaders and the Trump administration during a massive military parade over the weekend; ditching warheads and rockets for flowers and floats as the regime marked its 70th anniversary.

According to Reuters, Kim bucked years of tradition and decided to feature conventional weapons focused on “peace” and “economic development” as his government re-committed its pledge towards working with the White House in their joint effort to denuclearize the Korean peninsula.

President Trump praised Kim’s decision to remove nuclear warheads and ballistic missiles from his annual display Sunday; saying “Thank you To Chairman Kim. We will both prove everyone wrong! There is nothing like good dialogue from two people that like each other! Much better than before I took office.”

“North Korea upholds the consensus of the Singapore meeting between the leaders of North Korea and the United States and has taken steps for it and hopes the United States takes corresponding steps, to jointly promote the political resolution process for the peninsula issue,” said a statement from Kim’s regime.
