Was that a no?

Conservatives nominated him to be POTUS, 8 years ago.

Sadly, the R party has lost its way…40 years of RW blather, has poisoned the R party.

there was a violent uprising to overthrow trumps presidency? there wasn’t even a violent uprising to remove congress. just a protest to an action that became a riot when a relative few of them failed to follow the instructions “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”. if that was an insurrection then what happened in seatle was a full blown rebellion and should have been treated as such.

the establishment nominated him. conservatives tried and failed to nominate others.

What do you think?

Capone spent the rest of his life in jail, for tax evasion, even though his other crimes were much worse…

If these insurrectionists spend time in jail, for other crimes related to their actions that day…that works for me.

The “tourists” deserve it.

Obama needed an easy win. They knew he’d pull less votes than his first run.

It was a no, with a heaping side of deflection over the fact that there was no insurrection.

No one else came close to the delegate count in the 2012 primary than Romney. It wasn’t “the establishment”… it was the party. There were no other real contenders.

It wasn’t even close.

Cheney was positioning the Republican party for the 2022 elections by attacking Trump. She needed to be positioning the Republican party for the 2022 elections by attacking Biden’s and Pelosi’s issues.

He’s not wrong because traditionally conservatism is about individualism , not rallying behind a leader(s).

Lol.

Meanwhile Mitch McConnell flip flopped on an investigation into 1/6 because he is afraid of Trump’s wrath.

He is afraid it will make Republicans look bad for the 2022 election.

I don’t know if Cheney’s position was about politics or 2022 elections at all. Maybe she genuinely does feel that Trump deserved a rebuke on this ?

How is saying that Trump actually lost the election an attack?

Believe what you need to believe.

I prefer earth one.

And that is where she was concentrating.
On Trump.
Don’t say this shouldn’t be all about one man and make this all about one man.
Isn’t it reasonable that mainstream Republicans would want a leader who would spend their time trying to defeat Democrats rather than other Republicans?

So no then, right?

Excellent projection, and thank you for confirming that there was indeed no insurrection. :+1:

That’s why you think she was removed? Because she said Trump lost the election?

Yes.

She wasn’t removed after the impeachment vote.

The GOP has to hang on to the big lie that the 2020 election was a fraud. It is all they have. It makes what happened on Jan 6th okay.
