Politics are boring. You’re interesting.
I think it would be helpful for people to do an exercise to put things in perspective.
As a result of Manafort being sentenced to 47 months, my life has changed in the following ways:
…
Yeah I got nothing.

It’s not that I want Manafort to go to jail for years and years but to say he’s lived a blameless life and go so easy on him when others get hosed, it’s an injustice.

I hope his other sentence is proportionally way longer than the one he got here.
I’m not making any guesses at this point. I seem to be really bad at predictions.
Ideally it would go the other way and he wouldn’t get a harsh sentence but the whole system would get looked at and lololololol yeah that’s not happening.

That’s like saying organized crime doesn’t impact our lives.
The good ‘ole United States justice system. If only I was rich and powerful, I could get away with murder. 5th Ave syndrome at work.
Sure, but I don’t worry about that on message boards. It is what it is. We’ll see what happens with the second sentencing.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this judge called that judge during the recess. It was reported that some hung-jury charges overlapped the guilty pleas in the other court.
Yes, I remembered reading about the recess during the day and thought that was strange. This is why I’m waiting to see what happens.
The rich and powerful, US two tier justice system.

4 Years for tax evasion and bank fraud? Dollar for time, it was worth it.
If he truly loves his family and has something squirreled away for them, sure is.
He had over $22 million in assets seized, which is why the Mueller investigation might actually turn a profit.
It clearly was worth it.
The lesson here is that if you’re white, stealing millions will have less consequence than if you’re black and vote when you didn’t know you couldn’t.

And with the recent supreme court rulling on excessive fines – he stands a chance of getting some of the assets back as an excessive fine.
Republicans #1 campaign official headed to minimum 4 years of prison, likely much more after the 2nd sentence. Nah, nothing to see here.
(Also irrelevant that president’s personal lawyer is also headed to jail, and president’s national security adviser also headed to prison.)
Trump’s friends, close associates and hand picked senior advisers are crooks. The tree doesn’t fall far from the apples.
