Ex-Donald Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos has been sentenced to two weeks in prison for lying to investigators about his contact with individuals tied to Russia during the 2016 campaign.
“The President of the United States hindered this investigation more than George Papadopoulos ever did.”
Another beauty:
“The message is for all of us to check our loyalty, to tell the truth, to help the good guys,” Breen said. He recalled how he and attorney Robert Stanley and Papadopoulos visited the FBI office in Chicago months ago and noticed the photos of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Trump hanging on the lobby wall.
“We were going in there to cooperate potentially against those two individuals,” he said.
Papadopoulos didn’t know anything other then what the Obama spy told him so whatever lie he supposedly told the FBI was nothing but entrapment. He is definitely a victim of the two tiered justice system.
“George announced at the meeting that he had connections that could facilitate a foreign policy meeting between Mr. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin,” the court filing explains. “While some in the room rebuffed George’s offer, Mr. Trump nodded with approval and deferred to Mr. Sessions who appeared to like the idea and stated that the campaign should look into it.”
I’ve got to say - I’m not sure how he’s getting “no collusion” out of this. I’m under the impression that the scope of these charges involved lying to officials, and didn’t really touch on collusion. Am I missing something?
