Papadopoulos gets 14 days in prison. Must have given some sweet testimony

Ex-Donald Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos has been sentenced to two weeks in prison for lying to investigators about his contact with individuals tied to Russia during the 2016 campaign.

Oh yeah… sweet testimony … or boring.
But in any case… I bet YOU GOT HIM THIS TIME.

Love this quote from Papa’s attorney:

“The President of the United States hindered this investigation more than George Papadopoulos ever did.”

Another beauty:

“The message is for all of us to check our loyalty, to tell the truth, to help the good guys,” Breen said. He recalled how he and attorney Robert Stanley and Papadopoulos visited the FBI office in Chicago months ago and noticed the photos of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Trump hanging on the lobby wall.

“We were going in there to cooperate potentially against those two individuals,” he said.

Nope.

I know saying that is what helps you guys sleep at night, but the answer is no, we do not have “him” or “the tater” this time.

Trust me. You’ll know when that happens.

Papadopoulos didn’t know anything other then what the Obama spy told him so whatever lie he supposedly told the FBI was nothing but entrapment. He is definitely a victim of the two tiered justice system.

Will we see white smoke from Obama’s chimney?

The inquisition continues…

“George announced at the meeting that he had connections that could facilitate a foreign policy meeting between Mr. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin,” the court filing explains. “While some in the room rebuffed George’s offer, Mr. Trump nodded with approval and deferred to Mr. Sessions who appeared to like the idea and stated that the campaign should look into it.”

Seriously- why is Trump so interested in buddying up with Putin?

You do realize these investigations are a marathon rather than a sprint, right? We’ll not likely know the end result for quite some time.

They’re used to watching reruns of law and order and judge Judy…

I seriously doubt Papa ever had anything good. But he did seemingly cooperate, so he got off light.

Really not much else to this one.

I’ve got to say - I’m not sure how he’s getting “no collusion” out of this. I’m under the impression that the scope of these charges involved lying to officials, and didn’t really touch on collusion. Am I missing something?
