Sessions pretty much already perjured himself when he said he had no contact with Russians.
On the one hand I’m not so inclined to believe the word of someone trying to curry favor for reduced sentencing. But on the other hand, Trump has a demonstrable record of blatant lying and Sessions has already lied about Russia.
It’s a weird thing to wake up every morning, check the news, and have your first thought be “What the hell is he on about now?”

Wonder why Sessions has been so quite about all things Russia and defended the investigation? He is the clincher and Trumpo knows it

It’ll be interesting to see the reaction if/when Trump fires him. He’s holding off because he knows the negative reaction it would provoke before the elections. I think if the Dems take the House, he may not do it after, either.
Exactly, there has been a concerted effort by the Trump camp to discredit and call into question the character of every single official involved in the Russia investigation this is by design.
With Sessions it has been more subtle but you are already hearing it, he is “weak” he has “lost control of the DOJ” etc if he was to be removed the attacks would be ratcheted up to an 11.
He has to label them all as liars and so far he has done just that.
