I’m hearing Trump just told Americans in Israel, Egypt and elsewhere in the ME to leave immediately. It sounds like something big is getting ready to happen.
Guess the ISI (Pakistani version of the CIA) lost control of the Taliban. Well that’s fun.

“Follow the money” would say that the Taliban’s highly successful poppy eradication program plays a big role in the conflict since it may disrupt a highly lucrative opium trade through Pakistan.
Poppy acreage is down over 95% since US left in 2021. This is a crisis!
The total area under opium poppy cultivation in 2025 was estimated at 10,200 hectares, 20 per cent lower than in 2024 (12,800 hectares) and a fraction of the pre-ban levels recorded in 2022, when an estimated 232,000 hectares were cultivated nationwide.

Considering Pakistan is mostly armed with US equipment, they’re fairly evenly matched in that regard.
The Pakis are armed with nukes. They can turn Kabul into sand.

The Afghans don’t have nukes as far as we know. Pakistan are taking a financial hit with the eradication of poppies by the Afghans. Money makes people do dumb ■■■■■
