I never said he did.
Unless you are a mod, the only posts you can stop are your own
He lost because he was a D running to be a Texas senator.
The notion that he was a bad candidate was patently absurd. The fact that he ran as closely as he did to Cruz in TEXAS is testament to this.
VP though…
I was named after my dad, but I don’t go by the name on my birth certificate. I have a nickname that is a shortened version of my first name.
My dad does not go by the name on his birth certificate. He goes by a shortened version of our shared middle name,
The fact that people are sitting here bickering over Beto’s nickname is pretty absurd.
You only have control over what you do
This is what we call “checkmate.”
Betos done nothing except run against Cruz. Not much of a platform. Oh he played guitar with Willie. Hell at least trump had gone Bankrupt 4 times

Yep. If I were conservative, I’d be scared about Beto all the way down to the little toes in my cowboy boots. He’d be better as vice president at this point. Democrats have better candidates than Beto.
If they’re whining about his name, they’re telling you that they don’t have much to complain about the guy.
Somebody actually tried to say that Roberto isn’t Spanish for Robert? Where’d that guy go? Did he at least admit that he was wrong?

I’ve noticed that the words “fear”, “scared” and “afraid” permeate the vocabulary of liberals.
I think it points to a basic cowardliness that I have always suspected in the liberal mentality.
biggestal99: BillBrown:Name argument is whether the name is made up. If it isn’t on his birth certificate, it is made up. Whether he made it up or someone else did, it’s made up.
Ted Cruz’s name is made up too using that logic. Just saying.
nobody is saying ■■■■ about that name.
face it, you dont like Beto. we all get that.

Yes, Ted is made up.
Someone posted O’Rourke had a cool first name.
I replied:“The cool first name is made up. His first name is Robert.
His possible opponents could easily give themselves “cool first names”, to counter O’Rourke.
Biden could call himself “Plagiarist Joe”. Hillary could be “Big Butt Hannah” . I can think of several.”That launched a 50 post argument that “Beto” isn’t a made up name. Of course it is.
Every name is made up.

Remember when many wingnuts argued about Obama’s race?
Bernie is radical left.
I find it odd that one who is basically a reboot of FDR, is called radical left.
Pure socialism is radical left. Communism is extreme radical left.
Sanders is neither of those.
Huh?

I think he’s far left relatively to most left-wing/Democrats of today, Bernie is the far left. Compared to Hillary he certainly was.

Of the new crop Ocasio - Cortez is probably to the left of Bernie.
It’s hard to say about O’Rourke. He talks in riddles.
In what way do you see her as being left of Bernie? She seems about as far left as he is, to me.
Okay. Fair enough. Did you know that before this decision?
Yes. As soon as he was identified as a nominee. Raymond Kethledge waa the pick.
They aren’t Latino.
