Step one went into place when Biden’s social spending bill was blocked.

That didn’t lower inflation.

They lowered it from rising even more than it did. Obviously, nobody has lowered it or it would t be what it is.
Cool.
What is the republican plan to lower it?

Plus you get gas points.
Where I am, for me it’s mostly Safeway/Albertsons. But the same game. When I’ve saved up 10 gas points, that’s a buck a gallon discount. I bring enough empty gas cans to make sure I get my full 25-gallon limit with the buck off. Which means a savings of $25 on that gas transaction.
But the SWY pumps are more expensive than COSTCO, so the the $1/gallon is more like 90 cents a gallon over what I can get at COSTCO. Gas Buddy shows COSTCO has the best price in town (3.75), and Safeway is a dime more. (And if I shop around, I can even find regular gas as high as $4.15.)
PS: I think the question that was asked of you involves more than the brand. The ballooned prices are in Calif. I’m in Colorado. Your price is also likely not just a function of the place selling it, but your state.

Lower gas prices with increased production would help across the board.
Then there’s blocking Democrats social spending bills. As long as Democrats think giving away money is a method to reduce inflation, just keeping them out of power is a start.
When you don’t have the executive or,legislative branch, your powers are limited. This is all on Democrats until Republicans have some power.

Yup. I live in Indiana. I didn’t think we’d be one of the higher paying places, but apparently we’re higher than you are. Gas where I live is 4.14 today. I shop either Kroger or Walmart and I’m getting fed up with Walmart. May have to check Meijer and see what their prices are.
Voting every Democrat out of Washington would be a great start…
Here’s a question for you Libs: if government spending doesn’t affect inflation and since Lib politicians just live giving people money for votes, why don’t Lib politicians just send every tax payer a million dollars?
It’s a win-win- win situation, poor and middle class people are made rich by Libs and they can take credit for finally doing something useful to lift people out of poverty AND lots more people would continue to vote them into office!

That’s what they call “a plan”.
Aside from the amount I suggested and that I suggest everyone get government money, it’s the Lib playbook for vote getting. What don’t you like about it?

It beats the plan of decreasing inflation by having the government hand out free money the Democrats are using.

I wasn’t responding to you. I forgot to quote the actual post I was responding to.
I didn’t even read your post but I’ll look at it.
I’m sure it’s in the Language of Political Talking Points though because that’s the only language you know.

That’s not a plan to fight inflation.
That’s someone who believes in the Modern Theory…which I do not.
So you’re damning your own idea of a plan with very faint praise.
And thinking in Partisan Binary as usual.

Republicans aren’t in power. At this point, any plan by them is theoretical only. We know the Biden plan is to spend more government money. Not a plan is better than the Biden plan.
If the joke hasn’t been made here goes nothing
They have a secret plan to fight inflation
Only cuz i know you’d get it
They won’t take my suggestion because they know we’d take the money and still not vote for them.
