You mean like the Voting Rights Acts? They passed.

I passed easily…nope it was a massive undertaking.

It would take a similar undertaking to get what you want.

Won’t happen.

Allan

You claimed such legislation could not pass congress yet it has, several times in the past.

You didn’t even realize the fed’s have legitimate oversight of state elections and in establishing the conditions under which they are conducted.

Might be time to beat a hasty retreat under the cover of smoke.

I said it was a massive undertaking not that it have passed, congress before.

Allan

No, that isn’t what you said.

It’s been done and it can be done again.

It’s not like there is video of a republican politician disagreeing with you.

So what? Does he speak for all republicans? All conservatives?

Neither do you. The point is that republican politicians are on the record stating that their goal is to restrict voting ability

Just Because some of you guys hide behind ā€œoh it’s sacred therefore you better vote in person and not be lazy about itā€ the truth is that the fewer people vote the better it is for the gop.

Yet I didn’t claim to.

I’m for restricting voting ability to, to limit it to only those why are lawfully registered and legally eligible and that’s what most of us on this side of the fence are calling for.

ā€œWe, usā€ā€¦ seems like a claim

No most of you are not. You have no way to support that comment.

As long as ids are easy to get and free, I support it. We can’t have people waiting for hours get ID and costing money. That will hurt poor people.

Not by any stretch of any known definition but you keep trying.

Poor people have to have ID’s too and we all pay for them.

Known definition of what.

Then since voting is a right, you should be all for making it easier to vote as you enthusiastic for making it easier to own a firearm.

Right?

Otherwise…you pick and choose which rights you want to make easy and which you want to make difficult just like everyone else.

GOP leaders are on record as wanting lower turnouts because higher turnouts don’t favor them…their base is smaller.

They disguise this by using a Narrative that tickles your ears…they spin stories of increasing fraud to scare you into accepting regulations that make it harder to vote.

Even Trump- the people he brought out of the woodwork to vote for him vote only FOR him…they don’t come out for elections where he isn’t running, even if he tells them to.

Those who vote because they care about governance do not include these people…and of those people…the GOP’s share is small and shrinking.

Wrong.

Because I’m actually fine with requiring an ID to buy a firearm, and to vote.

Consistency.

Seriously, can you not follow such a simple conversation?

So what? Does he speak for all republicans? All conservatives?

Neither do you.

ā€œWe, usā€ā€¦ seems like a claim

Nowhere have I claimed to speak for all conservatives or republicans and you know it so why even try this?

Well yes, when you eliminate to the greatest extent people voting illegally odds are turnout will be lower and the outcome will favor republicans.

Didn’t say it couldn’t be done, said it would be a massive undertaking in the 2021 congress…

Condseiring that you want to surpress voter turnout. Won’t happen.

Allan

I was just making sure that you weren’t referencing some other part of my post I said seems on purpose… i mean you are the one using encompassing terms like most we us. So it certainly seems… by every definition.

And as to trying, i will never stop trying to explain common sense. It’s just the way it is.
