Derp.

There is a lot of doubt about the accuracy of the numbers in the study that article cites:

I agree. I think that the kicker was that he didn’t have fellow police support.

You’d be surprised how well that works on a jury immersed in the emotions of a trial

And people love corny

its an intimidation tactic, do you feel intimidated?

Not really. Contrary old farts don’t intimidate easily.

A verdict has been reached, should be announced today.

10 hours of deliberations? That tells me guilty on at least some charges.

Don’t let this be Rodney King 2.0. I hope they do the obvious thing and convict.

What makes you say that? I don’t usually follow trials so I’m not sure what this means.

In my experience, shorter deliberations in these trials lead to some form of conviction. See the Amber Guyer trial…despite the shameless smearing of the victim by Dallas PD.

Not much deliberation- probably no holdouts on the jury.

From what I’ve seen of the evidence, I agree.

OTOH- see the OJ trial.

That makes sense. I thought it would take longer, but I’m glad it’s going to be over soon, one way or another.

Means no holdouts whatever the decision. So probably either an acquittal or the top count of the indictment.

I seriously can’t imagine an acquittal.

An Acquittal? They deliberated all of two days. Guilty. A no brainer.
