I still think there was no reason for them to kill the eagle. I find it hard to believe that was all that stood between them and death by starvation.

They had a car, sell car, buy food. Could have been a rental I suppose.

Pretty sure Native Americans can hunt them. Not open season but approved culling.
not cull, take for religious purposes.

You are allowed to kill them with wind turbines too.

That pellet gun is not that expensive. It can provide much more food then the money it took to buy it. They probably bought it off someone cheap who needed money for drugs.
Doesn’t make it right.

And dead eagles are worth more than food.
He says the parts of a dead eagle can easily fetch a thousand dollars or more on a black market that stretches from western Canada to Florida.
I’ll agree with that, but there is no denying that this is yet another tempest on a tea pot.
Also can’t deny that migrants killing a literal symbol of America is a jackpot in these trumped up culture wars.
If this were a red blooded 'Merican, it never would have made it to the forum. I know this, because it happened in my state

Could be that it isn’t that expensive. Yet, they have money for a car and to fill the car.
The whole thing just sound fishy to me. Why were officers called out on a suspicious vehicle? That hasn’t been revealed but is something I am curious about.
These guys don’t know a Vulture from an Eagle? I find that hard to believe.
What I do believe is they were hunting Eagles to sell on the black market. They entered illegally and show no respect for our laws. Why should they when they are being treated better than Americans?

They were on private property, the owner called it in.

I found a couple cases where citizens killed a bald eagle…
One got probation and a fine.
Another got house arrest for 30 days, probation, fine, and community service.
Both were 1st offense.

Where is it cited they were here illegally?
Absolutely, even if it was an American that did this my response would be the same.

Yes they’re magnificent birds…speaking of which I almost killed one yesterday if I didn’t slam on my brakes. Missed it about 3 or 4 ft.

Neither are bald eagles…not now.
But again they are illegals, they broke the law getting here and what makes you think they won’t break the laws while they are here.
That’s the real question.
Yes, we should end having to buy a hunting license… It hurts the poor. And all fines for killing endangered animals.

Just like the left throwing out endangered spices act for windmills… They can chop birds of prey and day as long as the swamp makes money…
Right someone else educated me on that. I was over 10 years out of date!!! Glad you were able to stop in time without injury or accident
