Ok Righties, Healthcare

A system based on the following basic structure.

A two tier health system. One of services subsidised by the government and where providers must pass a quality of treatment review annually to qualify, fees are set by government, clients need no health insurance, and clients cannot sue for misadventure.

And one of services for those who want to be able to sue, where providers set their own fees, and clients arrange their own health insurance.

no it doesn’t.

Unless there is a big crash…the fed bailed out a ton on 2008…it came out when Sanders and Paul was able to audit the fed. It was c 15+ trillion dollars, and not just US entities.

Also from my link:

Non-citizens, including permanent legal residents, cannot vote in federal, state, and most local elections.

Not seeing how this “changes the House battle space.” There are very few places that allow noncitizens to vote in local elections:

Sure it does.

I’m against a national healthcare for a number of reasons.

Number one huge taxes are involved.

Number two i’m not impressed with national healthcare systems.

For example my wife had a couple of 2nd cousins in the UK that died from cancer because they denied them treatments after their cancer came back. They treated it the first rd and no more.

Great delays and rationed in some cases.

Lastly I think folks should pay for their own ins and healthcare.

We already have medicare for the elderly and medicaid for the “poor”.

Everybody else needs to pay for their own.

true, and I opposed it. Both Bush’s bridge loans and bailouts and Obama’s bailouts. There is no such thing as too big to fail.

It’s a shame this thread is dying on the vine. Would be nice to discuss policy more, like the good old days.

I think Oklahoma’s medical debt bill–the first I’ve seen from a Republican state–is an indicator of future policy trends.

Governments are going to make medical debt more difficult to recover. Eventually, even red states will start buying the debts directly from the hospitals. The time between treatment and government purchase will get smaller until you basically have single-payer.

When the government is in control of healthcare, the old “some are more equal than others” logic will apply, based on the inevitable social credit score.

I disagree, the “death panel” argument is alway used as a scare tactic.

Death panels do not and will not exist.

Yes they do. In England.
