It says that he at least has working brain and isn’t dumb enough to constantly fall for propaganda over and over.

Ahh, but that is exactly what is going on. The anti-Israel propaganda is strong with that one!

The US could basically ■■■■ up any other opponent when nukes aren’t involved. I’d say China would put up the best fight. But they would still lose in the near term due to US logistics and technical superiority.

If nukes are involved and everyone gives a ■■■■ about their own populations, then things become a little more equal. A Russian-US nuclear exchange would end badly for the entire world, but especially so for the US and Russia.

This mindset is delusional, We are in similar but in reality far worse situation as was japan pre ww2. We have an overpriced military with a few well trained and equipped elite units which will still suffer high causality rates due to the nature of drone warfare.

Meanwhile china produces and uses 13 times more steel than America and has a real industrial output multiple times larger thn americas.

Today the Chinese industrial capabilities is so far ahead of ours it is in a league of its own, the difference in incomprehensible and because of the incompetence of our leaders america pushed the country with the worlds largest share of natural resources Russia to align with the greatest industrial force in world history. Either they are the stupidest delusional idiots to ever have power or are actual traitors being bribed somehow.

At least in 1940 japan citizens could actually be enlisted today in America 80% of those under 35 are ineligible for service due to obesity, drugs or mental illness. You cant win a war by manipulating money around, dei, fast food, lawyering and designing tech you cant actually build.

Once the US switched to a wartime economy and japans elite troops eventually were lost japan was pushed on the defensive. Look at kills to loses of japan at the start of the war compared to later in it. It doesn’t matter how great the US spec ops are if china can send 100s of thousands of exploding drones and missiles a day.

Oh really? You haven’t been following this thread (or the Ukraine thread) very closely if that is your take on his posts. Falling for propaganda is the forte of his arguments.

say what? This makes zero sense

unless its russian

this statement is delusional

I had a Yamamoto reaction when I visited China on business some years ago. I grew up with black and white images of Chinese peasants in Mao suits riding bicycles. Instead I saw mile after mile of high-rise buildings that all looked like they had been built within the last 20 years. Shanghai has the density of Manhattan, but everything is new. Likewise the manufacturing facilities were state-of-the-art.

I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.

Yamamoto visited the US and saw an industrial capacity that dwarfed anything in Japan at the time. He knew that Japan was foolish to start a war with the US.

The same sort of thing is true with China now. The idea that we can bully China is into submission is seriously delusional and possibly suicidal.

The era of world domination by the US and its allies is ending.

It is important to remember, that China is an economic power. They won’t likely be doing anything to jeopardize that. I don’t see the U.S. and China coming to blows anytime soon, if ever. There is just too much at stake for both countries.

The same was true for the US before WW2. The US had the largest economy, but a tiny military.

Take up the White man’s burden –
Send forth the best ye breed –
Go bind your sons to exile
To serve your captives’ need;
To wait in heavy harness
On fluttered folk and wild –
Your new-caught, sullen peoples,
Half devil and half child.

Take up the White Man’s burden –
In patience to abide,
To veil the threat of terror
And check the show of pride;
By open speech and simple,
An hundred times mad plain.
To seek another’s profit,
And work another’s gain.

Take up the White Man’s burden –
The savage wars of peace –
Fill full the mouth of Famine
And bid the sickness cease;
And when your goal is nearest
The end for others sought,
Watch Sloth and heathen Folly
Bring all your hope to nought.

Take up the White Man’s burden –
No tawdry rule of kings,
But toil of serf and sweeper –
The tale of common things.
The ports ye shall not enter,
The roads ye shall not tread,
Go make them with your living,
And mark them with your dead!

Take up the White man’s burden –
And reap his old reward:
The blame of those ye better,
The hate of those ye guard –
The cry of hosts ye humour
(Ah, slowly!) toward the light: –
"Why brought ye us from bondage,
“Our loved Egyptian night?”

Take up the White Man’s burden –
Ye dare not stoop to less –
Nor call too loud on freedom
To cloak your weariness;
By all ye cry or whisper,
By all ye leave or do,
The silent, sullen peoples
Shall weigh your Gods and you.

Take up the White Man’s burden –
Have done with childish days –
The lightly proffered laurel,
The easy, ungrudged praise.
Comes now, to search your manhood
Through all the thankless years,
Cold-edged with dear-bought wisdom,
The judgment of your peers!

I fail to see where you are going with this. The world is dramatically different today, and there is no Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan looking to take over the world.

Yes, the world has changed.

European power peaked in the early 1900s as a result being the leading edge of the industrial revolution and the domination of European colonial powers. The 20th century saw two world wars that destroyed much of Europe and ended the colonial empires. Finance and military domination have replaced the colonial empires.

Meanwhile Asia continues to advance and industrialize rapidly. The rest of world is advancing as well.

Top 10 economies based on World Bank GDP-PPP:

The US and its allies represent about 1 billion people out of a world population of 8 billion, and their share of the world’s economic output is dropping. The western policy of world domination is not sustainable.

There is no such policy, and what does that even mean? :astonished:

The U.S. remains on top by a wide margin.

The Monroe doctrine is that no power should be able to challenge the US in the western hemisphere.

Since the end of the Cold War, the Wolfowitz doctrine has extended that idea to the whole world. It has been a core doctrine for neocons who run the State Department regardless of who has been president.

NATO has taken the lead in asserting world domination as part of this doctrine. The days of it being strictly a defensive organization ended with the Cold War.

Washington knows that western dominance has been slipping. That is why there has been the rush to reassert dominance over Russia and China.

Yes, if you really believe that a Big Mac in New York is worth twice as much as a Big Mac in Delhi.

Nominal GDP is based on foreign exchange rates, which means a Big Mac in New York is assumed to have twice the value of one in Delhi.

GDP-PPP is based on purchasing power parity, which means a means that the same sandwich has the same value regardless of where you buy it.

From a military perspective, an artillery shell is just as deadly even if the US spends 10 times as much as China or Russia to produce it.

The fact people don’t get this is scary. We have the greatest gift in being the world’s reserve currency and our leaders are doing everything possible to try to sabotage that.

I had a similar experience in Shenzhen. Most people who have actually been outside the US realize this I think.
