Well, not exactly like the Soviet Union in that people are breaking in.
There’s an old joke where Brezhnev asks as aide how many Jew were in the Soviet Union.
“5 Million, I believe, sir.” was the reply.
Brezhnev followed up asking if they were allowed to leave how many would.
“At least 20 million, sir.” the aide said.
