I really think that Duckworth would be the best choice for these reasons too. There hasn’t been anyone in the white house with personal military experience since George HW Bush.

George W Bush?- He was in the Air National Guard and never left Texas during the war. The only fighting he saw was in the Houston beer joints.

Demmings would be an absolute lock except Biden’s VP has to be able to make the argument they’d be ready to be president on day one, given his age and medical history.

I can’t imagine the left accepting a retired cop as VP. They are way too deep into ACAB now to ever support anyone who ever was a cop.

With the criteria that it has to be a minority female (no way does Biden not go this route) she would be my #1. I just don’t see any way at all she gets accepted as no matter what she says she’ll still be seen as blue.

Shoring up his successor would go a long way to improve his chances come November. Kamala waiting in the wings doesn’t instill confidence in America’s leadership. After last nights debate, this would be, imo, the best way to calm voters’ fears.
