This was supposed to be a discussion thread. I think personally, that all of us need to get a little more thick skinned and tolerant of the comments people make. I am not sure what had been flagged or by whom. But can’t we all just be a bit more civil.

I know I don’t always come off that way, but I really am, for my part, trying to not be offensive, upsetting or cause anyone to flag my comments. I feel like flagging has gotten to be accepted as a way of punishing a poster for their beliefs, and a way to get something removed that you don’t like.

I just wish everyone could grow up a little more. So we can have some discussion about the issues, and not flag everything. Just my 2 pennies worth.

As much as republicans are desperate for this hearing not to matter- the key here is that the SDNY are investigating Trumps crimes. Those are crimes that he can’t be pardoned for as this is a state investigation.

I think this happened because we had a large number of posts that showed no interested in discussing the topic or sharing information from the hearing, but rather just tried to deflect away from the discussion, or were just flat out trolling, preventing those of us who wanted to read and keep up and discuss the hearing from doing so.

I’m with you-I can’t watch the hearing live, and as I’ve been part of this community for years now, I’m interested in hearing the takes of people here on the topic, not deflections away to try to run cover for Trump.

But I digress, as this post contributes to that. Hopefully we can do a better job here of staying on topic in general, and keeping out those who aren’t interested in discussion of the topic.
