The crazy thing about the Bible and Religion in general, all sorts of things can be justified in scripture.

Acts 2-44-25

All the believers were together and had everything in common

They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

I just knew you were going to bring that passage up… Put the whole scenario of that scene in context…
Who were they? What was there goal? How many?.. So many factors here that rule it out as socialism as people view socialism today…But again, you know these things already.

So, I hear repeatedly from liberals that rights do not come from God. In fact, most Liberals don’t even believe in God. Rights then, must come from man, and what man can grant, man can take away or not bestow at all. Society is ruled by might makes right, with each generation deciding what they will grant, take away or deny.

Since this is true, on what basis can African Americans ever be granted restitution for past enslavement or for not having rights that never existed in the first place?

That is not how religion works.

There is such a thing as Cristian based Socialism and it is an equally valid religious view of economic theory as Christian based Capitalism.

There are no rights in the bible.

There are many promises directly stated and rights implied. That man is made in God’s image, that he formed us in the belly and knew us before we were born, and his command thou shalt not kill implies a right to life.

This is why the founding fathers called certain right inalienable and that we are endowed with them by our creator.

No if we had a right to life we would not grow old and die. You should not kill does 2 things 1 it shows it is not your right to kill others as that is God’s domain. It teaches you to respect life as a gift.

Even soldiers were considered unclean after war so as to show respect for life.
