Well I would object to bad things like even if prior administrations did it.
But clearly what’s going on here is not “Trump did it too.”
It is
- DeSantis shined the light of truth on the Biden administration
- DeSantis departed rom established practice (two administations yes two, 1,2 or 44 is not the point) ONLY in that he embarassed Joe Biden and the Limousine left.
- They are seeking criminal charges against him.

I agree with you. The hand wringing over what desantis did regardless of what purpose it serves his political aspirations is duplicitous and equivalent to “won’t somebody think of the children”. I am carrying some water. It’s the nature of the somewhat binary political environment but i also try to understand the underlying duplicity of politicians (i mean dems in this particular sentence) of using people to seem virtuous.

I think we on the right can agree that what DeSantis did was a harmless political stunt designed to shine a light on a bad policy that has gone on for at least 2 administrations.

these flights are supposedly unaccompanied minors. under trump the border patrol turned them over to hhs and hhs placed them. now the border patrol puts them on flights and drops them off somewhere letting the recieving end know after the flight has been completed.
That’s simply not true. Under Trump they would contract with third party contractors to transport them to other locations and buy bus tickets for adults. They switched from safe release to quick release….

thats adults. the story i read, and honestly the dhs spokesperson wasprobably obfiscating, specifically identified the flights as being “unaccompamnied minors”. under trump, unaccompanied minors were turned over to hhs for placement.
Yes i saw that story too but the flights for unaccompanied minors are actually taking them to shelters now. That’s what i read. Not sure what’s actually happening. Tbh
they flew a couple plane loads north of me here in NC, to a shelter, at 4AM. i’m not convinced they were minors
Right but they also fly them during the day. Could volume be causing the reason for middle of the night flights?
there ain’t that many unaccompanied minors to justify all those flights

May be but if we Prorate let’s say 2017 when there half a million stops to now when there two million. That’s four times as many… if we apply that to children. That’s a pretty big multiplier. I am also pretty sure the minor numbers are on the border patrol website.

that said, when they talk of reuniting families i’m all for it, send them back to their ■■■■■■ parent.

I think you’re right, it’s volume. Volume also caused us to notice where we haven’t in years past. That probably needs to be put in check.
