They’re not unrelated charges. They’re charges for lying to investigators. When people start lying to the investigators, there naturally going to be trying to figure out why. Either they’re covering something up, or they’re idiots. I’m pretty sure it’s the latter but that’s not an assumption the G men have a luxury of making.

If Trump hadn’t hired those idiots (and a few other things), the investigation would have wrapped up ages ago.

Not your Google monkey. It’s been out there, even on this board, about Clapper’s testimony to Congress at various time in which he lied (the lib term is “least untruthful” way) as well as Lisa Page claiming Strock is lying about certain texts etc.

You can start with Clapper and his response about NSA collection and go from there.

Clapper was trying to cover up a program he didn’t want to admit because of the national privacy issues brought up by the issue.

I don’t disagree however we can see how one sided it is with the frantic screams of “Investigate!!!” depending on who/which side is being accused.
