Still a state governed athletic committee, this doesn’t even belong in backyard wrestling videos on YouTube.
So if your partner physically abuses you or one of your children or pets, you don’t even slap her across the face? Or defend yourself or the assaulted party? Ever?
Does anyone accept that making choices has certain consequences? Opting to compete in gymnastics, or dance ballet, make open the participant to eating disorders. Competing in football may carry increased head injury risk and long term brain damage.
Who forced the injured opponent to compete in Mixed Martial Arts? Does it not carry some risk of injury?
Now I’m not a proponent of transgender medicine, and it seems a lot of attention is focused on this part of GLBTQ—whose members make up a tiny minority of the U S population. Transgender seems to be the minority within the minority.
But the idea of transgender and men being the only ones who can inflict serious injury on women and men should never hit women—not even in self or other defense? Really?—is simplistic.
Is anyone seriously going to argue that a female opponent may not be as deadly? Or that women in general cannot be just as toxic, or deadly, as men or male-female transgender against woman?
Seriously?!

No I don’t slap a woman across the face regardless of what they do. There was once or twice I felt like it but couldn’t and wouldn’t do it.
She fought in Florida and Illinois, both are well known loose athletic committee that rubber stamp fights.
She would never get a pass in the more serious states like Nevada or California.
She also hasn’t fought since 2014 and the sport has become more regulated since then, I doubt she could get a fight in Illinois anymore.
BTW I don’t see the transgender athlete as the most courageous. This idea that all that’s necessary to be rewarded for courage is to exit the closet is absurd.
There are even coming out greeting cards available at some stores and some host coming out parties. This, IMO, is ridiculous, folks.
It’s your life, but sometimes women can be just as deadly as men. When mom worked probation, the officers had carry conceal weapons to do home visits with both male and female offenders.
It seems some want the rest of us to see women as equal to men, yet at the same time fragile flowers who shouldn’t be touched for any reason. I sure wish they would choose one view or the other.

Yes I will seriously say it woman and man shouldn’t compete in physical sports especially contact ones. If one believes otherwise start by getting rid of the professional women’s basketball association and make them try out for the NBA. This would give you a good idea of what will happen.
15 year old boys beats the national women’s soccer team.
The same thing happened in Australia when a 14 year old boys team beat the Australian women’s soccer team 7-0. Are there situations were a woman at the top of a sport could beat a man obviously, but no there not as deadly, testosterone matters as well as bone mass.

Here are some risks of Mixed Martial Arts, or MMA. Again, not a supporter of so called gender transition as opposed to psychotherapy for those who feel out of sync with their sex at birth.
But sports carry inherent risk in their participation, and, with some domestic violence shelters offering counseling for FEMALE offenders, I believe it simplistic to argue that women are the fairer, weaker sex, thus this competitor would have had different results with a female opponent.
Perhaps she would have at least had less serious injuries, perhaps not. In any event we’ll never know.

Who you calling “you guys”? I had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with this.
Not trying to step on Axxowiz’s tongue but this has been defended a lot by a percentage of progressives on social media, as well as some of the big news organizations like Slate, Vox, Huffington Post, and Buzzfeed all of which boast huge number of monthly hits and cater to an audience that I wouldn’t classify as conservative.
I haven’t a clue the percentage of Progressives who support it but I do know they are much louder than those on the left opposed to it. Good for you though for not supporting it.

Very pretty. If I were not already married……… Yowza!
Yep. The world’s best woman’s soccer team was beaten by boys whose voices haven’t changed yet. I love women’s sports. Gymnastics, skiing, softball, track and field. It’s all good. But they should not be forced to compete against men.
MMA fighting is a lib sport now? Did a lib make the decision to let him fight against women? I thought libs wanted to wussifie America and ban tackle football, now they are backing people beating the crap out of each other? There is a disconnect in this message.

Then let me try to reconnect. All of the current Trans-hysteria is drummed up on the left. Only the left can tamper it down. Peens and va-jayjays should not be beating each other (in the ring). I will not offer another explanation. If the disconnect remains, then so be it.
It’s up to the left to save us from leftist ideology!

I get that. I also get the frustration/annoyance that some people feel about multiple genders/pronouns, etc. I guess I just come from a perspective that, if someone wants to be referred to by a different name/pronoun/gender than the one that society would normally dictate to them, it’s really no skin off of my nose.
I teach junior high. I have a student this year, born a girl, who feels uncomfortable as a girl. She has cut her hair very short, wears boyish clothing, and asked me on the first day to call her by a typically male name that she prefers to her given birth name. I want my students to feel like they are safe in my class and that they can come to me with problems, concerns, etc. Because I have taken this approach, she does come to me and I’ve been able to help her get through some tough situations.
That being said, my live and let live attitude does NOT extend to this particular situation. This is being used for unfair advantages.

It’s not just MMA. And many times the competition has no say in who they face.

This has nothing to do with docs post.
While it was an organized fight, and both people went into this, knew what to expect, and consented, a person should never be injured to the point where they break bones, especially the skull. Additionally, If someone knocks a person down in an, they should not keep whaling on the person…they should give them the opportunity to get back up, recover. In karate, we used mouthpieces and protective gear, and direct contact sports can be brutal, even dangerous. I think that Fox should at least chip in for her medical bills, out of good nature. But it’s not up to me to decide.
As far as her being transgender, I think the forum already knows my stance on that.
