Takes some unwarranted extrapolation to support that claim.

“kind of”. :+1:

Just read what you wrote with the eye of someone who did not write it. You essentially said, “we may as well not bother because eventually it’ll wind up back where we started.”

You essentially inferred that.

Stop trying to tell me what I actually said. Or even what I “essentially said”.

I said what I said, and if you weren’t clear on it before, I have subsequently clarified it for you.

I’m not telling you what you said, I’m telling you what I understood you to say and explaining to you why I understood it as that. Sheesh.

The point is. History does NOT tell us that replacement of our current system of income tax with a flat tax would a waste of time. Sure, it might be amended and made more complex in the future. But so what? ALL laws are subject to being changed in the future. That doesn’t make passing laws futile.

And now you’ve been corrected.

Not sure why you hang onto stuff like this. Time to let it go.

Well cool. Since I already corrected you on your interpretation that I said this, you’re just arguing this with yourself.

Once again…

Speaking of not letting it go …

Less than 10% would be earmarked for the Israelis. About 65% is for Ukraine, with some for Hamas (dressed up as humanitarian aid for Gaza civilians).

The longer the hunt for a speaker continues the better it is for my wallet. I’d like to see it go on past Christmas and none of these proposed give a ways take place.

I saw that. I don’t get the obsession with Ukraine. Is it because they’re white?

There is big money to be made skimming from the aid.

Yes, yes there is. Big money.

The Israeli conflict isn’t near the potential money maker of Ukraine/Russia. Too lopsided in Israel’s favor, even if Iran tries to take a more active hand in the fighting.

The interesting / slightly amusing part of this is watching meltdown of alliances within the Democratic Base over the administration’s stance vis a vee Israel - Hamas. Too many alliances of convenience right up to the point that you end up with terrorist sympathizers angry because other elements of the party won’t look the other way after the terrorist acts.

Intersectionality is tough.

I had actually started that post with the idea of pointing out the pitfall of too much DEI in political alliances within that party. Then I figured meh, one can’t really logically explain stupidity.

This is what happens when you try to be the party of both the socialist element of the Jewish community and the terrorist sympathizing element of the Pro-Palestine community.

They had the same intersectionality issue when the black nation voted against Prop 8 in California.

I see so many similarities on several of their positions. It, in simplest terms, is rules and consequences for thee, but not for we.

Reality is an messy and pesky thing. No matter how much you try to hide it, package it, refute it, it still eventually breaks through. And people, including more and more members of the black nation, always figure it out in the end.
