GOP tryin’ to out-hawk Biden…

Yes there are huge vulnerabilities. And the main one is how does a cornered rat like Putin react to a very strong unified and forceful approach from the West. Could get weird and really ugly.

Im not saying all of it is good- but I do note that it is happening.

Germany attacking Poland and the rest of Europe in world war 2 was none of our business until it was.

A no fly zone will require Congressional authorization.

They would never vote for it.

But they still get the benefit of claiming that Biden is soft for not doing it.

Win/win.

Maybe if y’all admitted that you unswervingly supported Iraq and were wrong, folks would be more inclined to believe you don’t just say all this for political advantage.

Defensive weapons and that’s it. That is a legitimate action and will give Russia about how painful military expansion will be.
And it shouldn’t be just US dollars.

Lol Tommy. It’s amazing the same type of people who lambasted here in 2003 for not supporting the war in iraq are now calling me a neo con a short 19 years later.

We’re absolutely on the same page.

We are not protected by the ocean. That’s the problem and why we have to,react but be cautious. Nuclear missiles are only a few minutes away…

You’re still not looking at the whole board. You are very narrowly focusing on this one thing.

The misrepresentation of Trump’s position shows that domestic hatred is still stronger than international concerns. The neocon statements about Trump wanting out of NATO are contradicted by his actions.
And there is an apparent attempt to tie him to Carlson, as if though they were the same.

Hey, didn’t you know? While the Ukrainian people are dealing with an invasion, attacks, and being killed, we’re over here also dealing with real problems. In fact, an invasion, attacks and being killed

Real problems like how to use this to attack Trump and push the green new deal agenda.

Megadittos on that.

Hoo boy.

Yeah- in the “he’ll never do anything right” world- the GOP could call for sending missiles into the Ural Mountains to take out Putin and then claim Biden is too soft for not considering it.

Not saying its without serious issues of its own…but a strong EU/US/Canada and a strong NATO acting as a bulwark to fend off Russia is likely here to stay. I would say this dovetails into a united Western presence against Chinese expansionism as well. Is it dangerous as hell in some ways? Yes. But Putin just changed the chessboard.

Trump/Tucker and the Marjorie Greenes of the world represent Fortress America, turning away from our European alliances and the vision of closing our borders with a wall. You can read posts in support of this from a number of conservatives here. Putin has effectively put a major dent in that movement by his invasion of Ukraine.

They’re just Ukrainian lives compared to US inflation. The latter far outweighs the former.:crazy_face:
