The reason why Trump does not get the benefit of the doubt is for several reasons, he has zero foreign policy experience, he has gutted the State Dept and does not surround himself with the best.

He is a man that is all about optics always looking for the “short term win”, NK cannot and will not be resolved with any short term solution. Put bluntly Trump is not capable, he does not have the ability to think long term across administrations let alone come up with a coherent short term plan.

Add in the fact that the CEC machine has pumped up his talks to the equivalence of the Berlin wall coming down, heck Trumps admin made a commemorative coin, you can actually buy it right now!

The deal doesn’t allow them to use their own inspectors the deal allow inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency which is made up of U.S, European, Canadian, Asian inspectors the same ones that inspect American plants and all other UN members.
