But the pertinent question is, are there more mistakes that require correction than in a similar time under a different president? With nothing to gauge it against, the number is kind of useless, you know what I mean?
Trump is 100% correct. The visceral hatred of Trump by the MSM is unparalleled.

Southern media would be expected to go after Lincoln. But that really isn’t what we are talking about here. We are talking about the American MSM, academia, entertainment, etc… There really has been nothing remotely similar.
southern media, southern academia, southern entertainment (John wilks Booth ring a bell? )all treated Lincoln worse. southern media pushed for secession. but you are right, its not what we are talking about because Trumps exact phrase :

did he say media? nope, did he say he was treated worse then prior presidents? nope.
he belives, if we are to believe what we are reading and what we are hearing, that no one in the history of america has been treated worse then him:
- a white guy born with immense leg up
- a rich guy whos father was already paying him 6 digits figures before he could even walk
- a coward who used his wealth to dodge going to Vietnam
all the while ignoring how he personally treated others

That’s convenient. How do you know exactly what he meant? Do you always know exactly what he means? Is it because you have him on speed dial, are telepathically connected, or just like to say stuff there is no way to objectively prove? Or does a pundit tell you so and that’s enough for you?

You claimed he was referencing the media in the quotes at the heart of this thread. What objectively leads you to this conclusion?
Because you made it up… he didn’t mention media. You did.

In my opinion, and that’s all I have, I believe trump was talking about his treatment as President by the press and by Senate DEMs with their unprecedented obstruction of his nominees. He was obviously exaggerating, but I think he honestly believed what he said to be accurate.
I too share those feelings and have stated as much on more than a few occasions over the last couple of years.
