It’s a small state, and I live in Monmouth county. Isn’t that where the most Covid positives are?

That time is an important 3 day holiday to some people. I don’t know about the last part however.

Some nut in a house I drive by frequently put up a huge sign starting at ninety days to halloween and changes the number every day. I mean, that is way to into it.

Well, you’d be encouraging testing, so there’s that

Yep averaging 150 cases a day. And yet river view medical center in red bank has only 3 covid patients and 80% empty ICU ward. Most positives aren’t getting hospitalized in jersey. Its just a bad cold at worse for most.

Your predictability is no amount of goverment control is enough.

Seems about right when considering the racial makeup of the country.

I don’t care if it is a Liberal or a Conservative who refuses vaccinations. One of the biggest purveyors of vaccine misinformation is a Liberal, Robert Kennedy Jr. Yes, he is the son of RFK.

Absolute nutter.

You would be surprised, mostly deal with Conservatives in Medicine, at least in Michigan. Most of my Coworkers were Trump supporters and fairly Conservative. And a lot of them (Nurses for the most part) still haven’t vaccinated until a recent mandate required them to, in order to keep their jobs. This, despite seeing the damage COVID does to someone. Docs on the other hand are nearly 100 percent vaccinated.

So you know leftist history and stick with it? Obama built the cages. I take it Chicago is an ideal leftist achievement.

And trump populated them.

No they were full when filmed in 2014 . The sock puppet admin has the cages full of children and are releasing covid positive people into America. That’s either being stupid or subversive. Which is it?

Why are nurses hesitant to get vaccinated? This isn’t a new thing… there have been vaccine resistant nurses for a while now.

They aren’t immune to misinformation, and in some cases, with the knowledge they have, they feel they are “in the know” when in fact they aren’t. You have to know what you don’t know, and for some, that is a large task.

It is just strange. My niece is a nurse at the VA and wasn’t going to get the vaccine.

It makes no sense to me.

They’re a stubborn bunch. Read some Nurse on Twitter saying that masks aren’t effective and gave her credentials because she worked on MRSA patients.

Which isn’t airborne.

Sometimes you gotta admit to not knowing what you don’t know. Some of the worst anti-vaxxers are Nurses, and that is even more dangerous because we deify Nurses these days and some are taking advantage of that to get a little attention. Which I always say is the most dangerous drug, attention. People will and have killed for it.

Are you immune to misinformation?

Not at all, I was a longtime victim of it.

I used to be heavily Liberal, believed everything the HuffPo said, believed every bit of nonsense the Left would generate about GW Bush. Bought every book by every Left leaning pundit, the whole nonsense.

I thought that guy was the Devil incarnate. Posted in Left Wing forums, and boy did we let him have it. Crazy, crazy stuff.

And then Obama got elected. And GW was nothing but class about it. Welcomed him into the White House, took care of him and made sure he was ready to go day one. And I started LISTENING to him, how compassionate he was and how funny he could be.

I was wrong, full stop. I didn’t agree with a LOT of what he did, but that didn’t make him a bad person. I was the bad person.

I stopped going to those sites, I stopped listening to far Left pundits and I came here, 13 years ago, to challenge myself to listen to the other side, to consider other points of view, and to try and do so respectfully. I am a better person for it, I think, and I have made friends here that are longer lasting and more significant on both sides of the aisle than I ever made previously.

For the past 18 months I have tried my hardest to present facts to people here, people I care about, and a lot seems to fall on deaf ears. I get talk about how I am an “authoritarian” or that by wanting folks to be safe and past this virus I am acting like a German in WWII or a pre-Civil War slave owner.

I have a background in Cardiology and emerging viral diseases. I have extensive experience in community health and communicable diseases. I am not doing anything other than trying to help folks stay safe, because I care.

So no, I am not immune to misinformation, no one is. All I ask is that folks realize that there is a LOT of bad information out there and we have to sort through this to get to the goal all of us wish, to have this pandemic over.

Vaccinations are that path, I 100 percent believe that with all of my heart.

I know you do. That is incredibly obvious and I applaud you for it.

We really do have to sort through it. Everyone wants this over with.

Yet, I surmise that it will never be over with. Because folks don’t believe that vaccinations are the one and only path.
