Once again, folks making it about what it isn’t about.

It’s not about the history of the flag, per se. It’s about white supremacists coopting the flag for their own contemptible messaging and Nike not wanting to be seen as part of that.

Well, aren’t you special? Hiding behind unsubstantiated innuendo, because you cannot refute historical facts that are posted.

The unavoidable truth is, the Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sander’s and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist plan for “free” college tuition will be paid for by taxing millions of college graduates who worked for and paid their own way through college and are now trying to finance their own economic needs.

You still don’t understand what you wrote?

Wow John

Let me help him out.

In the Revolutionary War, slave owners often let their slaves enlist in the war with promises of freedom, but many were put back into slavery after the conclusion of the war.

Barter and trade do not equal capitalism.

I don’t know about today, but I was very well aware of what was the best back in the mid 80s. The Air Jordan’s weren’t just longer lasting, they were by far the best sneaker on the market in every regard. They were like you were floating on air and able to do anything. That along with being the most comfortable.

Back then I played sports non stop. Normal sneakers that ran between 60-80 bucks lasted me 1-2 months before they had to be replaced. Air Jordan’s easily 9 months to a year. To me it was a no brainer. Not only were they much more comfortable, but I didn’t have to keep buying them every other month. I played sports that much.

I know exactly what I wrote. The nitwits at Nike and many in this very forum, refuse to give praise to and acknowledge that thousands of Africans fought under the Betsy Ross flag to win America’s independence from British rule and its introduction of slavery on the North American continent, and thus, win their own freedom. And now Nike and other uniformed nitwits want to defame the symbol which gave birth to a new nation, when they should be directing their feelings at the Confederate flag, which was embraced by slave holding states.

Why on earth does Nike attack one of our nation’s first feminists, by attacking the Betsy Ross flag?

Socialist democrats running for office will promise food on the table, free public housing, health care for all, guaranteed income, free college tuition, and other niceties by taxing the so called rich; and if by chance they ever do gain political power because of such promises made, their socialist iron-fisted dependency will enslave the very fools who elected them.

Read and re read this section… think long and hard about what you are saying.

My first pair of Jordan’s back in '86 were $64.99. $120 seems a little steep for that time period, but I guess it depended on what part of the country you were buying.

Maybe this is the lesson…

While I agree this whole thing about the Betsy Ross shoes are a ridiculously overblown controversy…this is an equally ridiculous stance to take.

It sounds like there’s a good economic reason for Jordan’s. My Dad always said, “Buy the best you can afford.” He was usually talking about tools but his meaning was the same. Higher quality pays off in the long run.

BTW

How is there even a second Nike Boycott?! I thought all conservatives burned their Nike stuff after Nike signed Kap?

 I was expecting a bumper sticker or window decal. That guy was on parade.

There are principles and pocketbooks and one of my principles is not to put undue stress on my pocketbook.

They went and dug up the ashes, then refired them with an angry face on.

Is that like how they smashed all their Keurig coffee pots after Keurig dissed Sean Hannity- as if destroying items they had already purchased from a company would hurt said company?

I love the uneducated.

the first documented usage of teh betsy ross flag was in 1792
