Next potential target for Trump's tariffs: the Bible

My understanding is that The Gideons have no problem with people taking Bibles from hotel rooms because it means the good word is being spread farther.

I wonder if ANY Christians who support Trump ever stop to think about how well Jesus would actually go over with them if he was alive today?

Heā€™s be the libbiest lib around! LOL!

I know. I said what i said in jest.

Yeah, that whole episode of telling the rich young ruler to sell everything he had and give the money to the poor in John 3 would be described as socialism today

Fewer people open any books.

Itā€™s all on their ipads and phones.

Thatā€™s true. I even read the bible more on line these days.

Really? Do you know how many Judeo/Christian charities there are in world, there are thousands of them, maybe 10ā€™s of thousands since there are so many of them who administer to everyone of every color and every creed. Canā€™t say that about secular liberals or Muslims.

Amen! Christians charities are the most generous in the world.

Yep - with a bleeding heart. Literally.

i hope theyā€™re at our southern border.

Youā€™re not a Muslim and Iā€™m not a Christian.

Yet you give yourself leave to make broad statements regarding what Christians do? Interesting.

Why are Bibles affected? Importation of paper products?

In my many interactions with Christians, they seem quite surprised at what is actually in their Bible.

In my many, they are not.

Experiences vary.

Yes they do. Hence the reason we should avoid definitive statements. Makes for a more open dialogue.

Glad we could agree.

FYI : The passage about the ā€œRich Young Rulerā€ is not in the 3rd chapter of John nor in the book of John

Ok. Very few Christians read their Bible.

Iā€™m sure true Christians will willingly pay 100 times or more than the price Chinese-printed bibles cost to have one if they need one.
