Newsweek: Housing Market Entering 'Crash Stage' in Multiple Cities

Actually, the Carolina’s and greater Appalachia are the hotspots.

Not sure about Texas, but Florida is experiencing an exodus due to absolutely murderous home property insurance rates.

I was simply thinking about taxes and politics as destination states, other than that, I’m not really sure

I’m finally seeing a small break on rents around charlotte. They had shot up so high it was pretty ridiculous. I check Zillow from time to time just to see whats going on with them for my kids.

I live in a pretty good neighborhood, and the price of homes has pretty much doubled over the last 3 years. Rents more than that. The last time I looked there was a 2B/1B house for rent that was asking $2850. The same house 3 years ago would have been around $1250 top dollar. You didn’t used to see rents over that until you got into 3-4B/2B.

Rents are still pretty decent here in Mount Airy/Surry County. Nicer places about $1,800. Otherwise around $1,200. Even got a studio for $750. Then again, we are well off the beaten path.
