I’d rather show my vaccination card that be a patient at medical practices set up like the county jail—wait in your vehicle until we call you, etc.

The benefit of getting vaccinated is clearly demonstrated in comparing the COVID-19 outbreaks in the number of deaths recorded in New South Wales, Australia in 2021 compared to the number of deaths in Victoria, Australia in 2020. Whilst the number of cases in New South Wales in 2021 is significantly more than in Victoria in 2020, the number of deaths is thankfully many hundreds fewer.

I come into the City (Soho) five days a week and outdoor masking has dropped significantly over the last couple of months. At the nearby Trader Joe’s about half the people wear a mask indoors.
You do however see the occasional driver alone in their car with a mask. That I don’t get.

In my youth I never wore a seat belt and never got a seat belt ticket. No one pays any attention to that law. As I got older I wore it because I saw the benefit of wearing one, not because it was a law. You’re not telling me to do something you can barely enforce. Make all the laws you want, I don’t have to abide by them if you can’t enforce them.

It really makes me wonder—why is this one vaccination so protested? This isn’t the first vaccination mandate.
Seems for a people with expressions like Make America Great Again, the attitudes about the COVID-19 vaccination are similar to mistrust in developing world countries:
In some of the Muslim world, vaccination campaigns are seen as attempts to force birth control by the west. And to think there are complaints about border crossers being infested with diseases when the attitudes about public health campaigns against these diseases support the right to get sick & spread it to others.
It’s mind numbing and may drive away voters undecided.

Is there a separate Honduran COVID-19 and the North American COVID-19 is more mild ? Do they seriously believe Hondurans, Guatemalans, etc. strictly reside in places like South Texas and don’t venture north?
I don’t know at this point I’m exclusively liberal or conservative, but the thoughts of vaccinations as Draconian Socialist Fascist Tyrannical Communist overreaches of a bloated federal government is making me seriously question the values of some in the conservative camp.
Probably because pro vaccination people can’t keep their mouths shut. If I was 25 years younger I absolutely would not be vaccinated right now.
Oh and, when was this vaccine mandated? Did I miss something?

Anti vaccination individuals are destructive. Lyme disease from exposure to ticks is common in the northeast in particular. An effective vaccination for it was developed against it by Then SmithKline Beechum, but media coverage of rare side effects and members of the anti vaccination movement ruined it:
