This attitude is unacceptable and needlessly confrontational.

Think of the refusals as frightened dogs that need coaxed not chased.

Doubtful

You get a vaccine card from your doctor but instead of listing the lot number and vial information, the information would say “Contracted” and the end date of the illness period. The doctor would then be required to enter the information into the state tracking system.

That way those that have resistance to the disease from contracting it would be on a level playing field with those that took the vaccine.

But it appears immunity is not permeant. So in addition as more information comes out about needing a possible booter there would be information on who needs the booster and when, even if the time frames of resistance are not same for vaccine verses getting COVID in the first place.

We have the technology.

Their argument looks air tight to me. Court will strike it down, sorry.

I was referencing the State requirements that included valid test. My mistake.

NYC is requiring this for indoor dining. People are still free to sit outside.

The requirement to eat indoors is super easy to aquire.

No one is chasing anyone.

It is very simple… free even to rectify the status.

Doubtful.

Hilarious. The ostensible reasoning for only allowing the vaccinated to gather is to prevent the spread of the disease, little problem, the vaccinated can spread it as easily or even more easily than the people who have had it and recovered. It’s getting struck down, care to place a forum bet on it?

Vaccinated people are way less likely than the unvaccinated to get infected in the first place.

Like orders orders of magnitude less likely.

I understand that one would like a carve out for those who are previously infected. If they want to make that adjustment… sure… I see it as needlessly complicating the requirements and adding medical expense in the sense of having antibody testing as proof… but if it is decided to go that route and add yet another thing to be paid for … sure… why not?

But for now… get vaccinated… it’s actually quite easy to do so.

For the life of me I just don’t understand the resistance to it.

New York City residents with natural immunity are still being discriminated against by the mandate, while those who are vaccinated and carrying a viral load are allowed to enjoy public accommodations. And you support this kind of crap?

Not if those unvaccinated have had covid, that’s many millions of people at this point.

The previously infected can also get reinfected. Let us not pretend that they can’t.

The vaccinated population are many many many times less likely to be infected than the unvaccinated population.

How can there be discrimination when there is a free and easy path to rectify the status?

People should get vaccinated.

Seriously… how is it in 2021 in the richest nation to ever exist we are arguing about getting vaccinated against a disease that has disrupted our life for the past year and a half?

it is insanity.

That isn’t what this argument is about. I think everyone who can should get vaccinated. Which is not the same as supporting discrimination against those who haven’t, especially if they have already had covid and are more protected than the people who have only had the vaccine.

So why does NYC’s mandate discrimination against those having natural immunity and give a pass to the vaccinated who have a viral load and can and are spreading it?

Nah man… this is at it’s essence an argument about vaccines. All of it.

It can get couched in freeberty speak… but it is at the end of the day it is people just saying “I don’t wanna” and expecting zero consequences for arguing for continuing the pandemic.

People with natural immunity can also contract the virus.

You have convinced me.

The policy is not strict enough.

The only people who should be allowed in are those with a recent negative PCR test. Thankfully I get tested at work all the time… so it looks like I will have the place all to myself.

You didn’t answer the question.

So why does NYC’s mandate discrimination against those having natural immunity and give a pass to the vaccinated who have a viral load and can and are spreading it?

…cuz the WHO, you know, the organization that told the world there was NO EVIDENCE of person to person transmission until January 22, 2020…after the virus had already infected the world, in part, due to this ignorance, now says…it’s not fair for rich countries to get a booster, until the rest of the world is vaccinated.
