Trump’s position on the vaccines has absolutely nothing to do with mine. We have decided to avoid them based on a lot of things, including the many adverse reactions, lack of long term trials and availability of good, aggressive treatment if we do get covid. We are in the fortunate position to be able to obtain meds and treat ourselves quickly . We have also been on a preventative regimen for months now. Everyone should be able to make this decision for themselves and to do good research beforehand. We have done that and are keeping up to date.
The delta variant reset the clock. At this point one can hope if a booster is in and MRNA shot that it protects better for delta. Some of the data I have seen from Mayo Clinic and an Israel study shows the Pfizer vaccine in the 40% range.
Breakthrough infections are happening way more now that this variant was ushered into the states. Everyone better hope the CDC and the CEO of Pfizer is wrong when they are saying we are 3-4 variants from the virus bypassing the vaccine altogether.
Meanwhile there is a massive shortage of staff to care for these patients and some people are pushing for companies to fire people who choose to not get the vax.
Better yet, have him shake the hand of every person there who gets vaccinated at his rally, maybe take a picture with them. He would get thousands of people vaccinated each rally. Folks who attend those rallies would absolutely get vaccinated for a chance to shake his hand.
