How do you feel about democrats voting against the assault weapons bill? It has to be bad if they won’t even vote for it the way they’re ramming through anti-gun legislation.

Just go judge shopping.

I would LIKE to think the dems who balked actually recognized the fallacy of this bill, but I’m afraid it’s more likely they just decided to kick the can down the road a bit.

They plan to revisit the issue next year - after the General Election.

I’m disspointed, but out of all the bills, this is the one I cared the least about.
Universal background checks was #1 for me,
Red flag was #2
Allowing cities and counties to be able to determine if they wanted their government buildings to not allow weapons was number 3

One gun a month and assault weapon bans I agree with, but not really anything I cared strongly about.

Psst…VA house and Senate election are in 2021

Psst. 2021 is next year.

This will be back before the election next year. VA Leg only meets between Jan and April. They tabled it for 2 year. So not “after general election”
It will be back months before.

The Ban which failed to pass?

What I said is completely true according to your own links.

There does not even have to be a credible accusation of a crime for your weapons to be seized.

This is prior restraint, not due process.

How will they get it to pass? Throw in confiscation?

Yes. There might be repercussions for dems who voted against in committee.

So they didn’t go far enough with this bill.

Good, they’ll be replaced by republicans that will make sure it never passes.

What are you rambling on about now??
It didn’t pass from conservative Dems that wanted a study first
Why do you argue against a bill then when people agree with you, you try to claim something else? Why bother arguing with them when if they say “hmm…good point. You are right” you still argue?

You think conservative Dems that voted against it will vote for it if it goes further?? That makes no sense.

Well one, again, the election will not be until after it comes up again and 2-poll after poll says people of VA support this bill.

Then why is it all but four counties in VA have declared themselves 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries?

Who agrees with me on this bill? They want a study, not kill it. Maybe the study they choose recommends confiscation and registry.

Still false. No matter how often you say it… one last time

LE investagstion requires
Judge must sign off
Standard must be “clear and convince evidence”. In what world does that equal “not need a creaibile a accusation”.

No matter how often you repeat the same talking point, it’s still wrong…

Confiscation isn’t even on the table.
You can keep painting Dems as “radicals” but their actions have shown different.
