You don’t want your oxygen levels to dip, either. Thankfully, many covid patients who are having difficulty breathing (in my experience) are put on 3 liters or more (some poor bastards need the 10~ liter range) well before a ventilator is required. That is for the most severe cases.

I wear a mask in every setting I’m required to as directed by Governor Murphy.

I only wear a mask when I’m required to by mandate. Is that considered the same thing? I know my Thanksgiving gathering of family and friends exceeded 10 people and no one was wearing a mask. But no one was required to wear one.

That’s sounds like a ten year old boy who goes out to play in the snow without his coat, boots and gloves because his mom did not tell him to wear them.

Not sure what’s survival rate is now but back in spring it was something like 20 percent.

I agree. Going on a ventilator seems like that’s the last stop between living and dying.
And I don’t know what the survival rate is either. 20% sadly, is low. Shows that once someone gets to that point, its not looking like a good outcome.

The thing is, a person who contracts COVID is not in control of how severe their symptoms will be.
