New Chinese aircraft carrier ready to hit the seas

Looks like Chinese diplomacy is going to carry bigger chopsticks. What do you make of this?

China ‘ready to build bigger warships’ as first home-grown carrier starts sea trials

Naval experts said the Chinese engineers and designers behind the warship had studied the most advanced military technology used in the US, as well as the former Soviet Union, and tried to incorporate it into the new carrier to meet the practical needs of the PLA Navy. Hu told China Central Television that the shipbuilder’s team now had the experience to build a bigger aircraft carrier.

Let them waste billions of dollars on antiquated technology.

A ring of YAL-1’s in orbit renders those and even ICBM’s useless.

If we had them, but also there is that little detail of the treaty against the weaponization of space.

[/quote]Well the Chinese certainly have the money to spend on nifty oceangoing targets. Now when they flood the seas with subs, then we can judge their seriousness.

Abrogating treaties is something the US specializes in

it’s symbolic at this point.

But it is also step one in a nation of fast learners. People have set their hair on fire because of “THE RUSSIANS”. And yet the Chinese, who engineered the largest internet hack against our government, is hardly a mention by the pro-mueller crowd.

The United States will be happy to waste enough money for both the U.S. and China.

If either the United States or China decides to abrogate the Space Treaty, China is more than capable of matching the United States satellite for satellite on anything that goes up.

Maybe they are

Better in modern times however.

Depends on your definition of “modern”

Never miss an opportunity to bash the US.
Never take an opportunity to bash anyone else.

Hmmm,
how revealing.

Couldn’t pull off the flat flight-deck then?

Gotta hand it to the Chinese… they figured out that plastic floats better than steel…

Nobody else matters

Yeah that’s what a man said as he never missed an opportunity to tear his wife and child to verbal shreds at every opportunity.

“I’m doing this because I love you.
I’d do it to others, but they don’t matter.”

Then there is the man whose hobby was logging onto the internet and badmouthing unions morning noon and night.

Poor sick guy had convinced himself he is a quasi intellectual who loves unions. He couldn’t see why no one believed that about him.

What I had in mind is late twentieth century and forward.

Depends on one’s definition of bashing
