Sure. Why not? What could happen? China could stop buying t-bills and actually start selling them.

I’m not saying China doesn’t have some culpability here but it would be a very delicate negotiation to have them pay for expenses. Will China send checks to every country on earth or just the US? It is nowhere as simple as you make it to be.

I’m not saying China doesn’t have some culpability here but it would be a very delicate negotiation to have them pay for expenses. Will China send checks to every country on earth or just the US? It is nowhere as simple as you make it to be.

Some? The whole world should come together and remove the head of the WHO and unitedly condemn China for their responsibility in all of this. Together we can make China pay…if…we unite?

The idea that anyone is getting upset over $50 of those… shows to me that one has been primed to be upset about something.

Also… getting upset about allocating more money for emergency operations of congress during an emergency is bonkers.

The money is not the problem. The problem is many of those ad-ons establish new special interest laws that will continue indefinitely long after the virus crisis is a distant memory.

The objections seemed to be pretty manufactured to me.

$25 million to keep the Kennedy Center afloat. No problem with that.

$25 Million for Emergency Congressional operations during an emergency. No problem with that.

Making sure that Minority owned banks are part of the stimulus. No problem with that.

Making sure that there is extra funding for provisions in the Violence Against Women Act at a time when it is especially hard to get away from an abusive situation. No Problem with that.

Extra funding for a program dealing with a disease that attacks one’s immune system during a pandemic. No problem with that.

Specifying that financial literacy during a time when people are forced into financial hardship. No problem with that.

Making sure that companies that get bailed out by the government have to agree to terms that improve workers lives and force environmental impact statements. No problem with that.

Putting into place a mail in ballot system to ensure a fair election in the fall in case of the likelihood that we will be still dealing with this mess in one way or another well into 2021. No problem with that.

So which one’s are a problem to you?

In my opinion much of what Pelosi tried to stuff into the bill was extraneous to the immediate needs of the country and needlessly delayed the passage of the bill…That bill needed to deal with immediate relief for businesses and individuals impacted by Covid 19 through no fault of their own to try to keep them afloat until we opened the country up again. Nothing more…

This whole thing is just now heating up. What I’ve suggested IMO…looking forward, is a real possibility. You don’t see it but as more and more pain is inflicted upon this world, the more eyes will open to this possibility?
