If the military bases are renamed for wokeness I wonder if military recruiting will take a hit like professional sports viewership. I remember how popular “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was for morale.

If there is a drop in recruitment because of that issue, I honestly couldn’t care less. Probably not people we want.

In a quick google search, I can find no mention of a veto over riden bill going back to the president. Besides, what would be the purpose? He doesn’t need to sign it, and he can’t veto it again. Under the constitution, upon the required vote in both houses, the bill becomes law.

There is a situation such as I described, but clearly it’s not an over ridden veto. I’ll have to try to find it when I have more time.

I think you are talking pocket veto. If a bill is sent to the president, if he doesn’t sign within 10 days it goes into effect without the president’s signature. However, if congress has adjourned and is not in session, after the 10 days it is not put into law (a pocket veto). I can’t remember the last time congress wasn’t in session.

If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a Law, in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a Law.

223 new judges on the bench (including 3 supreme court) that more than likely will make rulings based on the constitution. Recent election ruling should put the thought that they will rubber stamp whatever he wanted into a hole and burry it. When rulings come about liberals don’t like, they need to remember what’s going on now, and the the justices are actually following the constitution and not making ■■■■ up as they go along.

Tax reform. letting the people keep more of their own money. Just wish there had been budget cuts to go along with it. But you and I know every congress critter just loves their spending.

Cracking down on those that are in this country illegally, and trying to come here illegally. Just wish that more could be done: Busting more businesses that hire illegally, finding people who support and help hid them – and following federal law and charging them (yes that would be a judge and prosecutor who let a know illegal slip out the back way so ICE couldn’t get him as he came out the front door. All those involved should have been charged federally for that!

Trump banned a chinese company from participating in US 5G rollout. After, many other countries banned the same company from their 5G plans.

Speeding up Generic Drug apprals (almost doubling the number per year) This doesn’t include warp speed on Covid Vaccine.

Ugh I can see this going on forever. I’m calling Trump a loser because his NDAA veto was overturned in a massive rebuke to him. I mentioned it’d been a bad time for Trump because he also lost the election and is having an issue with his Covid relief request. Rough time for Trump. If you want to start a thread on Trump victories to prove he’s a winner, go ahead. But he lost big on NDAA, and he just lost reelection. He’s a loser.
