In a quick google search, I can find no mention of a veto over riden bill going back to the president. Besides, what would be the purpose? He doesn’t need to sign it, and he can’t veto it again. Under the constitution, upon the required vote in both houses, the bill becomes law.

In a quick google search, I can find no mention of a veto over riden bill going back to the president. Besides, what would be the purpose? He doesn’t need to sign it, and he can’t veto it again. Under the constitution, upon the required vote in both houses, the bill becomes law.

There is a situation such as I described, but clearly it’s not an over ridden veto. I’ll have to try to find it when I have more time.

I think you are talking pocket veto. If a bill is sent to the president, if he doesn’t sign within 10 days it goes into effect without the president’s signature. However, if congress has adjourned and is not in session, after the 10 days it is not put into law (a pocket veto). I can’t remember the last time congress wasn’t in session.

If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a Law, in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a Law.

223 new judges on the bench (including 3 supreme court) that more than likely will make rulings based on the constitution. Recent election ruling should put the thought that they will rubber stamp whatever he wanted into a hole and burry it. When rulings come about liberals don’t like, they need to remember what’s going on now, and the the justices are actually following the constitution and not making ■■■■ up as they go along.
