At this point… what does the average Palestinian have to lose?
Isn’t it understandable why they would support Hamas after generations being forced to live in Gaza?
More violence isn’t going to stop this.
More violence is what is going to happen… but it won’t solve anything.

It is funny that you think that Gaza operates as a democracy.
Their children for one thing. Any chances of their own state is another.
It doesn’t.
But Hamas got to its position back in 2007 through popular Palestinian support. They chose literal terrorists over Fatah. Fatah has and had its own problems, but they weren’t terrorists. They were reformed terrorists.

Okay that last sentence is funny.

That’s what they were. They were the former PLO. Reformed terrorists are a thing. Nelson Mandela was a reformed terrorist.

Easy to say from your apartment in New York. How would you respond if this happened in your neighborhood? Would you tell your family and friends that more violence would be counterproductive?
Efrat said she was taken to the yard of an elderly resident, who was handcuffed to her caregiver.
Efrat was also handcuffed, from behind in a “very hard, very painful” way, she said, adding that all those in the yard were instructed to remain silent.
One of the militants then brought a toddler to the yard, with Efrat saying she was afraid they would shoot him because he was trying to run away.
Another child, about eight years old, arrived with his mother, who appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, Efrat said.
According to Efrat, the mother told them that Hamas fighters had shot her husband, and that her three-month-old baby had also been fatally shot in the head.

Hamas are terrorist butchers and should rot in hell.
More violence is not going to stop future violence from happening
No. That’s not how humans work.

I do think there are people in the US who are hostile to us and want to harm America. Cells and sleeper agents are here but what I do not believe is that there are thousands of such individuals or groups. That was the oroginal comment I was referring to.

So if since 9/11 thousands of terrorists have flooded into the US why have they not yet attacked?
Of course there are terrorists here what I am saying is that its not thousands and we are not suddenly under a new threat or a threat from hamas here in the USA.

Human nature is violent and we’ll never escape that. But that doesn’t mean we should turn the other cheek to the most violent animals among us in the naive hope that it will keep us safe. You want less violence in Israel and Gaza? Destroying Hamas is a good step toward that goal.
“The smell when you step into a shelter is kind of what hits you first,” Robertson told Tapper, adding that people had sought refuge in these shelters when Hamas attacked.
“And you realize that this stuff on the floor is what you fear it is,” Robertson added. “It’s blood, and you realize in an instant, looking at the strewn shell casings on the floor, looking at the bullet holes in the concrete in front of you, and you can understand what happened.”
“Hamas had gone in there with guns and quite literally shot them in calculated, cold blood as they were cowering there on the floor,” Robertson said. “And the blood’s on the wall, and the blood’s on the ceiling, and the bullet holes are in the concrete wall.”

Really? Since when? When has continued violence stopped the violence without diplomacy finally ending it?
