I had thought the Navy would pick the Spanish design, but they picked the Italian.
I am not disappointed in the slightest that the Navy outsourced the design to a foreign vendor. The design is at least stable, so the roll out won’t be a walking cluster **** like the Ford-class.
The pictured ship belongs to the French Navy.
On first look, this seems to be a quality choice.
Have you ever worked on an Italian made boat?
As to what the US get’s, we’ll see…

I think it’s pretty good. How fast they can go does bring up the question if they want them to go with carrier groups if needed.
Bonus points if they christen it the USS Luigi.

I did not do a thread on this, but I agree with the Opinion of the Court. Only a direct repeal of that portion of the ACA statute would have been sufficient to remove the obligation. An implied repeal (i.e. appropriations rider preventing payments to the insurance company) was insufficient to remove the legal obligation.
Back on topic, I think the Navy made a good choice, for a change.
