National parks refusing cash payment from visitors, demand cashless payment

I offered my remedy in the OPENING POST

This practice by public employees, which blatantly discriminates against identifiable groups of American citizens, needs to come to an abrupt end, and accommodations for legal tender payment needs to be restored for those wanting or needing to use legal tender, as statutorily define, for payment to enjoy publicly owned and taxpayer supported, parks.”

You really should pay attention, Samm, to what already has been addressed.

I certainly am not ridiculing and being dismissive of those who are not willing to embrace a cashless society.

You really should pay attention, Samm, to what already has been addressed.

Posting what you are not doing does not say anything about what you are doing. What are you doing about the threat (your word) of the cashless society?

And no John, you should pay attention. This is much ado about nothing.

According to you, objecting to a cashless society “. . . is much ado about nothing.”

Why would someone who isn’t wrong “admit that he was wrong”? Just to make you feel like some kind of winnah?

That barn door closed decades ago.

According to you.

Town and Beach Parking

Visitors to Colonial Beach, Virginia, will find that the Town has recently upgraded its parking system by installing new Flowbird meters in the downtown area. These modern meters offer a seamless and efficient parking experience for guests. While they operate much like the previous meters, they come with added convenience. Just like before, visitors can make their payments at the Pay Station using either cash or credit card, simply inputting their license plate number. What sets these meters apart is their compatibility with a user-friendly mobile app. To make your parking experience even more hassle-free, you can download the Flowbird app for both IOS and Android devices. You can find this app on your device’s App Store or directly from Flowbird’s website. Additionally, there are QR codes on parking area signage that can be scanned to quickly access the app. This modernization of the parking system ensures that Colonial Beach continues to be a welcoming destination for all visitors.

No John, it is the issue of the trend towards a cashless society that is much ado about nothing. It’s simply the natural evolution of how financial transactions are done as technology expands.

Objecting to it is just futile. It’s happening whether you like it or not.

Whether you like it or not, Samm, accommodations for cash payment is being provided for those wanting or needing to use legal tender, as statutorily define, for payment to enjoy taxpayer owned public property such as parks, beaches, etc.

I see a “get off of my lawn” type visual…LMAO

Truth and facts really upset you, don’t they Samm?

Not in the least. Do I seem upset to you?

A state of self denial is more to the point.

Whether you like it or not, Samm, as documented above, accommodations for cash payment is being provided for those wanting or needing to use legal tender, as statutorily define, for payment to enjoy taxpayer owned public property such as parks, beaches, etc.

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’m denying nothing.

I’m simply saying that your concern is greatly exaggerated and it’s happening whether you like it or not. As they say about evolution due to changing conditions … adapt or die.

I never thought that stodgy old “hate-change” Samm would ever be the one explaining that to someone else.

I agree with you. This is not something that is going to change, stop, or even slow down. Most people will go belly up. Mainly because they believe the concern is greatly exaggerated. Famous last words. I’m just glad I won’t be around for it.
