They went to the garage at 5 PM Thursday and were bank out by “late Thursday evening.” The National Guard Bureau said it was both heated and had restroom facilities.

I know we live in a softer, gentler time. The idea that deployed National Guardsmen can’t tolerate a few hours without wifi or furniture is a bit extreme. This is most likely a few Guardsmen looking to complain fanned by the political motives of those around them. If not, these Guardsmen are going to do poorly if things were to ever get truly difficult.

Social media.

Nice. Well done.

It is the disposal attitude.

The restroom situation was disputed.

The suckers and losers rhetoric looks so contemptible in light of this entire NG deployment.

That attitude is from who? I think those Guardsmen are more than capable of dealing with that situation. That’s my point. People throwing pity and using it as a political talking point are the ones with the issue in my opinion.

That is why they were not there when needed and then there for show when not needed.

The D attitude has shined through.

It is all political and the troops see it.

The National Guard is present during all inaugurations. This happened the day after the inauguration.

That has nothing to do with failing to prepare for January 6. There was a need. There were requests that were denied…Then we have a display on inauguration day 5 times bigger.

Crazy coaster ride.

A dog and pony show complete with legislator photo ops certainly is a reality.

The real question is why are they there at all? The Inauguration was over days ago.

The only thing I can guess is for Trump show trial.

If Congress expects riots over the Impeachment trial, perhaps they should reconsider the wisdom of going through with it. History is full of examples where arrogant leaders actions lead to revolts by their subjects. Let 'em eat cake.

That would require an honest answer.

Something our DC elite are incapable of.

What units were you in? Not being snarky btw.
