And don’t jump to conclusions about being from CT. I grew up a farmer’s son and a hillbilly. Nearly all of my friends are hunters who eat what they shoot and a fair number of them don’t ever, literally, buy meat from the store, they shoot it or catch it. I know mountain folk who didn’t have running water and built their cabins on a mountain owned by a guy we called mountain Jack. I wrote a song about him. No electricity for a while except generators, for about 20 years.

Not “back to nature” liberals either. Genuine squatters.

Yup, moved to MD in ‘83 after meeting my Mrs. there while working at the Proving Ground. Been living between MD and Florida for the last 8 years. Hope to be a full time FL resident by the end of the year.
