NAR (Realtors): Existing-home sale volume retreated 2.5% in August, Median price continues to rise

The 3.1% price increase is an increase in median price.
It reflects a mixture of

  • all prices rising
  • smaller more affordable homes have stopped selling. (so, the midpoint would have moved even if prices had been stagnant.)

artificially raising the prices of housing by increasing demand (illegal aliens can’t sleep under the bridges) amid other inflation…
