Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi slammed Attorney General William Barr following his Congressional testimony Thursday; claiming the top DOJ official “lied to Congress” and likely committed a crime.
“He lied to Congress. And if anybody else did that, it would be considered a crime,” she told reporters. “Nobody is above the law. Not the president of the United States. Not the attorney general.”
“There is a process involved here and as I said, I’ll say it again, the committee will have to come to how we will proceed,” Pelosi added.
Barr sat-down with Congressional leaders Wednesday for the first time since releasing Robert Mueller’s ‘No Collusion’ report; facing fierce questioning from Democrats over his decision to not pursue Obstruction of Justice charges against the President.
