There needs to be a balance. Which we don’t have. We can’t run up the credit card forever. Eventually it will be stopped. The only question is will it happen in a way where we make a plan and do it right. Or will it be a total collapse?
And I don’t trust this incoming administration to do that because its leader has put in charge of the effort a guy who has earned his fortune with government cheese.
Running a government is like running a business. Profit is not the goal of business because not all business requires profit.
The goal of business is to provide a good or service, and to do so in the most monetarily efficient way possible. Businesses that provide their product/service in inefficient ways don’t stay around.
In that way, running a government like a business is and should be a goal, maybe the THE goal, but one of many.
Sure financial bribes I agree but he is open to bribery as much as the rest of guy based on what he is doing in the rest of his life.
Plus there are other forms of abuse such as using your position to help your own businesses or business connections.
This is why I favor complete transparency for anyone who is elected or has a role in the house or senate. Dont want to expose yourself to such scrutiny then dont run for office.
Even though the constitution does not require the speaker to be an elected member of the house that miss should certainly be addressed.
Speaker is far more than just a ceremonial position and as such the speaker should come from the ranks of elected officials.
But I am sure cons will disagree until the dems want to try the same ■■■■ (which i would object to as well).
Would you really be happy with Soros or Clinton as the speaker of the house?
