Is twitter’s policy enough?
“The definition of verification and the accompanying blue checkmark is changing. Until now, Twitter used the blue checkmark to indicate active, notable, and authentic accounts of public interest that Twitter had independently verified based on certain requirements.
Now the blue checkmark may mean two different things: either that an account was verified under the previous verification criteria (active, notable, and authentic), or that the account has an active subscription to Twitter’s new Twitter Blue subscription service, which was made available on iOS in the US, Canada, Australia New Zealand and the UK on November 9, 2022. Accounts that receive the blue checkmark as part of a Twitter Blue subscription will not undergo review to confirm that they meet the active, notable and authentic criteria that was used in the previous process.“
Let me guess, Musk didn’t know about this policy change on his own website?
Cow-punching or something.
Some people need to realize that crying about video games put you firmly in the same camp as your grandfather and his walking to school in the snow uphill both ways stories. Or complaining about how the Irish are ruining everything.

We must stop woke artists from obtaining paint.
A brief reminder that if you are fifty years old, you were twelve or thirteen the year the original Nintendo released. The Atari 2600 had been out for a decade. PAC-Mania was sweeping America. Arcades were appearing everywhere in the new popular teenage hangout spot, the shopping mall.

No. Twitter policy as written by staff of Musk are not necessarily according to Musk’s expectations. There are a lot of people at Twitter who want Musk’s management to look bad. Just as there were a lot of bureaucrats who were rogue and did not follow Trump’s instructions to his agencies.
Show me where Musk intended the eight dollar verification not to be a verification that the account name and picture was in fact the actual person or company of that name and portrait.

Musk cannot fail… he can only be failed.
He’s also supposed to be a genius (IQ 155).
Are you joking? Seriously?
You think Musk isn’t aware of a policy on a service HE authorized? Is he that incompetent?

PurpnGold:
Prominent Conservatives never left the platform.
Also, Elon has changed a single policy on moderation yet.

Paul_Thomson:
How do you get permission from investors to root out all those saboteurs and replace them with free speech believers? Well, if the investors force you to buy it knowing you intend to make it a free speech platform, you have the keys to the guillotine. And you know the rats are not going to go quietly without tryong to sink the ship.
Investors want a return on their investment. They are not giving him money to run Twitter into the ground.
When was context ever added to a Biden claim on twitter pre musk?

I don’t think that this is going to go well.
Musk has given the entire staff the choice to work hard and long hours patching up the ship that he is sinking or leave with three months pay.

Mass Exodus at Twitter. Seems like people weren’t all to keen working more and harder for the same amount of money and no guarantee of that keeping you employed.
Another employee exodus appears to be underway at Twitter as many workers rejected Elon Musk's terms for staying with the company, choosing instead to depart, according to multiple current and former employees.
Musk has tried to retain staff by softening his work at home stance.
Twitter offices are closed until monday because of fears of sabotage from leaving employees… which is hilarious to think because we know where the sabotage is coming from
