I wouldn’t trust any of those people with the “Big” scenario.

A man of youth and vigor would respond “turn that entire country into radioactive glass. SIOP Major Attack Option 1 please. And make it quick.”

A man less sure of himself (including many old people) would question the military brass. Are there any other less destructive options? I read a book years ago that scared me. Because the president in that book makes the call to retaliate with literally less than 7 minutes left before the R-36 warheads hit their target.

I want and need a man that has no moral qualms with exterminating the grass of the opposing country if it ever comes down to that. The idea of hesitating, or being afraid, terrifies me. I feel that way about both Biden and Trump.

That is the single most important job of president to me. It’s why I’m actually a Carter fan to be honest. Because unlike most men he took it seriously when he was in office. He not only participated in the games himself but he made sure that everyone in the White House knew what to do if it came down to it. He was a true nuclear warrior. I expect the same standard quality from everyone else who sits in that chair.

For the record, in my opinion Biden is too old to run and so is Trump. I want an upper age limit set. You can’t run for reelection after you turn 70.

Being 77 myself, I’d say 75 would be more appropriate. Of course, my mind is not subject to the stresses of the Presidency, so you could be right. I just wish the electorate would pay more attention to the behavior exhibited by the candidates. The signs are there to be seen if one is honest enough to acknowledge them. Even Reagan, who admitted having Alzheimer’s after leaving office, was exhibiting signs of mental deterioration before his second term began.
